The IMD's Delhi/NCR observations also show wet monsoon conditions across the region.

Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand

The Western Himalayan region is one of the biggest areas of concern.

Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand are expected to receive heavy to very heavy rainfall during parts of the current spell. The IMD has warned of potential hazards associated with heavy mountain rainfall, including landslides and flash flooding.

Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh

East Rajasthan is under a particularly notable heavy-rainfall outlook. West Madhya Pradesh is also expected to see heavy to very heavy rainfall in isolated areas on August 10.

The rainfall could lead to waterlogging and difficult driving conditions in affected districts.

Northeast India

The Northeast is also experiencing an active monsoon spell.

The IMD expects heavy rainfall over Assam and Meghalaya, with additional rainfall and thunderstorms affecting Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura.

Arunachal Pradesh could see another spell of heavy to very heavy rainfall later in the week.

The rainfall activity is expected to continue beyond Monday.

On August 11, the IMD forecasts isolated heavy to very heavy rainfall over East Rajasthan and Himachal Pradesh, with heavy rain possible over areas including Uttarakhand, West Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Jammu & Kashmir-Ladakh and parts of Northeast India.
